Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words,
REI – Represents the Spiritual Source of the Universe, or Higher Power, and
KI – Is Vital life force energy which flows through all things.
REIKI is “ Universal Life Force Energy", safely used at anytime, any place. REIKI is the energy of life itself. The Usui System of Reiki is a healing technique which reawakens and elevates this energy, channeling it from the Universe into oneself or others. It is based on the asian concept of life energy and is received by laying of hands on fully clothed client on a massage table. The practitioners hands are simply held at locations of the head, heart, shoulders, abdominal area, legs and feet lightly touching the body, or slightly away from the body. Reiki energy flows from the hands of the practitioner into the client’s body and energy field. This energy creates the relaxation and healing effects.
Susi Holy Fire Reiki - Holy represents being whole and complete. It is both powerful and gentle, which is a spiritual energy that creates wholeness through purification, healing, empowerment and guidance. Holy Fire energy is noticeably more refined and comes from a higher level of consciousness.
Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being.
It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. It is not a replacement for medical treatment.
Reiki is now being used in hospitals, nursing homes, physical therapy offices as part of health and wellness.

Reflexology is a complementary, non-invasive practice, based on the premise that there are zones and reflex points in the feet, hands, and ears, corresponding to all parts and systems of the body.
Through the application involving thumb and finger techniques applying alternating pressure to reflex points, promotes relaxation which aides the energy flow of blocked nerve and circulation pathways to open and reduce stress and tension, regulate body functions and release toxins from the body’s tissues allowing the body to self-heal and achieve homeostasis.
Homeostasis is when all the body’s systems are working in harmony with one another to bring about a state of balance. Reflexology techniques stimulate all of the body’s systems.
Reflexology is not a replacement for medical treatment, but the modality which is a complementary therapy to medical treatment.
Brief History
Modern Reflexology is based on the work of two American physicians, Dr. William Fitzgerald and Dr. Joe Shelby Riley of the 1920's and on that of physiotherapist Eunice D. Ingham who developed Fitzgerald and
Riley's knowledge into a usable therapy, calling it hand and foot Reflexology. They took it to the public in the late 1930's through the early 70's. Dr. Nogier, of France, discovered the outer ear map in 1957 (auricular therapy).
